France & Monaco

France, with its capital Paris, is synonymous with romance and a rich culture that has been shaped over centuries and now plays an important role in cinema, fashion, cuisine, literature, technology. France encompasses medieval cities, alpine villages and Mediterranean beaches. Paris, its capital, is famed for its fashion houses, classical art museums including the Louvre and monuments like the Eiffel Tower. The country is also renowned for its wines and sophisticated cuisine. Lascaux’s ancient cave drawings, Lyon’s Roman theatre and the vast Palace of Versailles attest to its rich history.

Monaco is a sovereign city-state and microstate on the French Riviera close to the Italian region of Liguria. This is the playground of the elite, a country where most people come from somewhere else, attracted by the sun, glamorous lifestyle and tax-free income. Musée Océanographique is probably the best aquarium in Europe and is part of the Oceanographic Institute, which is committed to sharing its knowledge of the oceans. Monaco’s Palais du Prince was built in the 13th century.
