DAY 1 ARRIVAL MAKASSAR – BIRA
Upon arrival in Makassar airport, meet with your guide and driver. Afterwards we will take you out for a scenic drive to Tanjung Bira for around 5-6 hours. On the way, you will visit
Bissappu waterfall in Bantaeng. Lunch en route. The Bugisnese and Makassarese are expert wooden boat makers and some of the most skilful sailors in Indonesia. At Tana Beru you can see Traditional Perahu construction. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

DAY 2 BIRA – WANTAMPONE – SENGKANG
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Sengkang via Watampone located in the centre of the former Buginese Kingdom. Lunch en route. Arrive in the afternoon in Sengkang and we will take you across the lake by motorized canoe to visit the fishermen families living on the floating villages and enjoy the sunset. Dinner & overnight at your hotel NOTE: The water elevation in Lake Tempe will be low during the dry season. It is not recommended to cross the lake at that time.

DAY 3 SENGKANG – TANA TORAJA
After breakfast at your hotel, visit the traditional silk factory where you can see the traditional spinning and weaving of silk material by Buginese women and take time to go to the hill where you can see a magnificent view of Sengkang city from the top. Afterwards transfer Toraja via Siwa and Palopo, passing through spectacular mountain scenery along the way. Lunch en route. In the afternoon arrive in Rantepao. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Hotel.

DAY 4 TORAJA TOUR
After breakfast in your hotel, a full day exploring Tana Toraja. First you will visit Lemo to see rows of Tau Tau statues and the hanging graves. Later continue to discover the secrets of baby trees in Kambira. Onwards to Londa with its ancient tombs in which the deceased were not buried but placed among the rocks. Lunch break in a local restaurant in Rantepao. This afternoon we visit Kete Kesu with a stop in Karuaya to enjoy the beautiful and typical Toraja panorama. From here we will continue with a short walk to Kete Kesu, one of the oldest Toraja villages. Here you still find two rows of the original village houses, the traditional ancestral houses of the Toraja people, Tongkonan, as well as traditional rice barns with colourful wood carvings.

DAY 5 TORAJA TOUR – SOFT TREKKING
After breakfast in your hotel we will bring you to visit Timonbayo where we can enjoy the spectacular view of the megalith stones spread over the extensive rice fields. Then to a burial cave of Lokomata. From Lokomata, we continue our trip to Batutumonga where we will have short trekking, enjoy the beautiful panorama and experience a moment of the unique Torajan lifestyle. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Batutumonga. In the afternoon, we will visit Bori (the megalith) then to Pallawa & Sa’dan Tubaranna, local Torajan villages known as the weaving centre of Rantepao. Then back to the hotel for dinner & overnight

DAY 6 TORAJA – MAKASSAR
After breakfast in your hotel, check-out. Transfer back to Makassar. We take a coffee-break at Puncak Lakawan to enjoy the spectacular view. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. Afterwards transfer directly to your hotel in the town of Makassar. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

DAY 7 MAKASSAR CITY TOUR – AIRPORT
After breakfast in your hotel, check out. Take a city tour of Makassar, visiting Anjungan Losari Beach, a new icon of Makassar featuring the 4 ethnic groups in South Sulawesi. Afterwards visit Fort Rotterdam, which also houses the Lagaligo Museum. This museum consists of two buildings, one housing ethnology and the others is history. Continue to visit Paotere traditional harbour
where you can see the Phinisi boats. Lunch at a local restaurant then transfer direct to airport to catch the flight to the next destination.
