Denmark is a small country sitting between the North and Baltic Seas. Ancient castles and Viking ring forts exist side-by-side with modern cities. Over 1,000 years ago Danish Vikings took to the seas and ravaged half of Europe. This heritage lives on but these days Denmark is a progressive and friendly country. Denmark is know for Legoland, extensive bike routes, butter cookies, The Little Mermaid, Royal Copenhagen plates, Georg Jensen jewellery and Copenhagen, the capital. Denmark has no downhill skiing as the highest mountain is only 147m above sea level.
